First day writing by the seat of my pants, and I'm doing pretty good so far! I managed to write 1371 words in my limited time, and those were hard to write, but I know where I want to go with the next little bit, so the words should come out easier. I'm at a total of 16275 words. Which is still behind, but I'm not worried, I have Ames on Saturday to catch up! Here's my excerpt. It's the only part I could use that wouldn't spoil what I've been working on!
Through the door Evelyn found herself in a waiting room. There were non descript chairs lining the walls, a counter, and several potted plants. She looked around, and she couldn’t see James, the woman or Patrick anywhere. She looked toward the doorway to the right, and surmised that they probably went that way, but the hallway was dark, and she really didn’t want to go exploring. She had enough adventure for the night. James would come out and find her and explain what was going on. Wouldn’t he?
